How does Love From One work?

Love From One gift boxes are a very simple process designed to help save you time while still connecting you to the ones you love. Each gift box will be filled with a variety of items geared towards seniors. (See our WHAT'S INSIDEpage for details.) 
All you need to do is supply up a few digital pictures and a note for us to include, and we take care of the rest! 
You may choose to send a gift box every 3 months with our quarterly subscription, or a one time send Thinking of You or Birthday box. As many seniors live their last years without the support of family or friends, we also offer a Sponsor a Senior box allowing you to help seniors who struggle with being alone.
Quarterly subscription boxes are sent every January, April, July and October to your chosen loved one(s). For your convenience, subscription boxes will auto renew and you will receive an email reminding you of the deadline to submit your photos and note. 
Birthday, Thinking of You and Sponsor a Senior boxes will ship within 7-10 days from order date unless otherwise stated and are a one time send. They will also include your photos and notes. Sponsor a Senior boxes will contain photos of nature and you may still include a personalized note if you choose. We will match your Sponsor a Senior box to a senior in need. All of the above boxes may be ordered at any time and as often as you like. 
Additional holiday boxes such as Mother’s Day & Father’s Day will be available when applicable. Holiday boxes must be ordered in advance and will be of a limited quantity.

Why should I purchase a box?

For anyone who has a senior in their life, you know that for a variety of reasons, being able to see them rarely happens as often as you would like. We know, because that is the exact situation we are in with our grandparents. And you are made aware that often they can be very lonely. This is our way of allowing you to reach out, to say Hi, I am thinking of you, even through your busiest times. A way to bring a smile to the faces of those you love. A way to keep them connected to your lives. Sponsor a Senior boxes are a fantastic way to bring some joy to those seniors who do not have family.

What types of items are included in a subscription box?

We are working behind the scenes to source out items from various vendors that would be appropriate for our recipients. They will vary every month, but typical items include snacks, beverages, personal care, home use, home decoration, activities to keep their hands busy and minds engaged, and where possible anything related to the history of our country. We are also mindful of the small living area many seniors reside in and will not burden them with an overabundance of things to take up space. In addition, each box contains those personalized touches from you that makes your gift extra special.

I have a suggestion for a box item and/or I am a vendor who is interested in showcasing my products, may I contact you?"

YES!! We LOVE new ideas and vendors!! Please email us at contact@lovefromone.com. If you are a vendor please include a brief description of your product(s) and your company information. Please note that during our busiest times, we may not be able to respond right away, but we will get back to you!

Question 5

How do I submit photos or notes to accompany my subscription box?

Accepted Answer

After placing your order, you will receive an email confirmation directing you to the personalize page to upload your picture and note. You may also access it on the website under the Order tab.
For subscriptions, we will be sending you an email reminder to submit your personal message and pictures that you would like included in your upcoming order.
Please be aware that the cut off to add personalized photos and notes is the 15th day of the month prior to shipment. After the 15th, if no personalized items have been supplied, the subscription will be fulfilled with the regular supplied box items only. We strongly encourage you to submit early to avoid missing the cut off.

Question 6

What if I forget to submit photos or a note on time?

It's ok, we know you are busy! While we do very strongly encourage the inclusion of photos and notes, life happens and we understand that. Our team makes sure that each box will contain a personal note from us letting your loved one know that they are being thought of.  To help you out, subscribers will also receive an email reminding of our submission deadline.

Are my photos and personal information safe with you?

We value your privacy! As a family run company with littles, we know how important it is to keep photos in the right hands. In this day and age of technology, privacy is a pretty rare thing and we will do everything we can to ensure we keep yours safe. In fact, there are only a couple people on our team who have access to personal accounts. Love From One will never give out or sell your information. Question 8

I would like to send a box but for personal reasons would like it to remain anonymous. Can I still send one?

Of course. Purchase your gift box subscription and in the Personalize section, enter “I would like to send this gift anonymously” in the note section. Then simply disregard our automated email reminder to submit pictures. Your recipient will still receive everything else.

Question 9

What are the shipping options and where can I ship?

Accepted Answer

As many seniors in assisted living type facilities have a box number, we ship through Canada Post to ensure we are able to deliver to everyone. At this time, we currently do not ship outside of Canada.

Question 10

When will they receive their boxes?

Accepted Answer

All subscription orders are sent in January, April, July and October and will ship on the 5th of those months. Should the 5th fall on a weekend or holiday, boxes will ship on the next business day.
Birthday, Thinking of You and Sponsor a Senior boxes will ship within 7-10 business days unless otherwise stated. 
We ship from central Alberta, so dependent upon where your recipient lives, they should be receiving their gift box shortly after shipment!
*Note: at this time couriers are experiencing shipping delays. We will continue to send boxes in a timely manner however know that typical shipment delivery times may be affected. Your recipients facility may also have quarentine measures in place delaying delivery.

Question 11

How do I keep sending gift boxes to my loved one?

Choose our quarterly gift box subscription and we will take care of everything! All you need to do is provide digital photos and a note to include. We'll remind you of our upcoming shipments!
Alternatively, you may choose to send a one time Thinking of You box whenever you like, or you may also choose to send our birthday & holiday gift boxes to celebrate those special times of year.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards through Paypal. All payment information is kept secure through PayPal's privacy policies. Paypal accepts all major credit cards, a Paypal account is not required to purchase.

Question 13

When will I be charged?

Accepted Answer

You will be initially charged at the time of your first purchase. All auto renew charges will be processed quarterly from the date of your original purchase.

Question 14

What is your cancellation/return policy?

Love From One does not accept requests for returns or exchanges. If one of your products was damaged in shipping please notify us at contact@lovefromone.com
Please allow up to 45 days from the date of cancellation to stop receiving products. This means you may be charged for and sent a box even after you have submitted your cancellation request. The timing for cancellation is to accomodate the procurment schedules for items that are pre-ordered. Click HERE to submit your request.

Question 15

I am concerned about my loved one receiving a box during the Covid-19 pandemic. What are you doing to minimize risks?

Without a doubt we are all concerned for everyone’s health and wellness during this very unprecedented time. At Love From One we are following all guidelines as set out by our government organizations & will continue to do so for as long as advised.
All products coming into our facility are quarantined for 72 hours, including the packaging we use. Staff members will wear gloves and masks while packaging boxes and will not be permitted to work when showing any symptoms. Be aware that most care facilities have their own stipulations in regards to incoming mail & quarantine measures before they are given to residents.

I love this idea but do not have any seniors in my life. How else can I help?

Thank you for your giving spirit! You may help us Sponsor a Senior by simply purchasing a Sponsor a Senior gift box. We will match your order to a senior in need. What is your Give Back donation program?

Every six months, Love From One will donate a portion of all sales to a charity of their choosing. This time frame may change, as the more gift boxes that are sent, the more we are able to donate! Thank you for playing a part in helping us give back!
